Google Shopping
It starts with the product feed
Shopping ads are built from your product data, not keywords. If titles are vague, attributes are missing or products are disapproved in Merchant Center, you either do not show or show for the wrong searches.
We fix the feed first, then structure campaigns around margin and performance, using Performance Max or standard Shopping as suits your catalogue. Negative keywords, search term reviews and ecommerce tracking mean you can see return on ad spend by product and category, and stop paying for what does not sell.

What is Google Shopping?
Shopping ads appear in Google search results and the Shopping tab with a product image, price and your store name. They are generated from a product feed you submit through Google Merchant Center, and you pay when someone clicks. They suit retailers because shoppers see the product before they click.
Should we use Performance Max or standard Shopping?
It depends on your catalogue, data and how much control you need. Performance Max can work well with good conversion data but shows less about where ads appear. Standard Shopping gives more control over search terms. Many accounts benefit from a mix, and we will recommend what suits yours.
Do we need Google Merchant Center?
Yes. Merchant Center holds your product feed and business details, and it must meet Google's policies for products to show. We can set it up, connect it to your store and fix any disapprovals or account warnings.
Can our products appear on Google for free?
Yes. Google shows free product listings in the Shopping tab and other places, using the same Merchant Center feed. They are worth having, but paid Shopping ads usually get far more prominent placements. A well-optimised feed helps both.
How much budget do we need?
It depends on your catalogue size, prices, margins and competition. Campaigns need enough budget and conversions to optimise properly. We will recommend a starting budget based on your products and the return you need, then adjust as data comes in.
