Events SEO
Events have a deadline. Your marketing has to work with it.
Most businesses can wait for SEO to build. Events cannot. Demand rises as a date approaches, then drops overnight, and next year’s event often starts from scratch on a new web page. That is one of the commonest reasons event websites never build lasting visibility.
As an events marketing agency, we plan search around your calendar. Evergreen pages that keep their authority year after year, timely content as the date approaches, and paid search where SEO alone will not move quickly enough. Everything is measured in tickets, bookings and enquiries.
Who it’s for
Is events SEO right for you?
- Organisers of recurring ticketed events such as festivals, shows and conferences
- Venues that want more private, corporate and wedding enquiries alongside public events
- Exhibition and trade show organisers who need to attract both exhibitors and visitors
- Event production and hire businesses that win work from corporate and agency buyers
What’s included
What events SEO and marketing includes
-
Evergreen event URLs
Page structures that carry visibility from one year's event to the next, instead of starting again every time.
-
Event structured data
Event schema for dates, venues and ticket details, helping search engines understand and display your events.
-
Calendar-led content plan
Content timed around announcements, early bird deadlines, last chance moments and post-event follow-up, when search interest actually happens.
-
Venue and local visibility
Google Business Profile and location content for venues, plus pages for corporate, private and seasonal bookings.
-
Paid search and social alongside SEO
Google Ads and Meta campaigns for short-notice demand, planned with SEO so you do not pay for clicks you would win anyway.
-
Ticket and enquiry tracking
Tracking across your site and ticketing platform where it allows, so sales can be tied back to channels.

-
Start with the calendar
Key dates, on-sale windows and booking lead times shape the whole plan.
-
Fix the foundations
Site structure, page history and tracking reviewed so past events help future ones.
-
Run SEO and paid together
SEO builds lasting visibility; paid search and social cover peak moments.
-
Review after every event
We look at what sold tickets or produced enquiries and carry the lessons into the next cycle.

Can SEO work for a one-off event?
Usually not on its own, because organic visibility takes time to build. For a one-off event we would normally lean on paid search, social and PR, and use SEO for the organiser's brand or venue pages that outlast it.
Should we create a new page for each year’s event?
Generally, no. Keeping your main event page at the same address and updating it each year lets it keep the authority it has earned. Previous years can sit on archive pages that support the main one.
Do you work with venues as well as organisers?
Yes. Venues have two audiences: people looking for events to attend and people looking for somewhere to hold their own. We plan for both, including corporate, private and wedding enquiries where relevant.
Can you track ticket sales from search?
Often, depending on your ticketing platform and how it handles tracking. We check what is possible during setup and are clear about any gaps rather than guessing.
How far ahead should we start?
The earlier the better. For a recurring event, SEO works best as year-round activity, stepping up ahead of on-sale dates and the event itself.
