Ecommerce SEO
SEO built around what you sell
Online stores face SEO problems that brochure sites do not: hundreds or thousands of product pages, filters that create duplicate URLs, out-of-stock items and manufacturer descriptions copied across dozens of rival sites.
We start with your margins and best sellers, then target the category and product searches most likely to become orders. Keyword research, site structure, product content, technical fixes and authority building work together, and we measure all of it against online sales and revenue.
Who it’s for
Is ecommerce SEO right for your store?
- Online retailers whose organic sales have flattened or fallen
- Stores relying heavily on paid ads that want a less costly source of sales
- Shops with large catalogues, filtered navigation or duplicate product content
- Brands launching new product lines that need to be found by buyers

Handling filtered navigation, duplicate URLs, pagination, out-of-stock and discontinued products, product schema and page speed.
-
Authority building
Earning relevant links through content and digital PR, so your store builds the credibility to compete with larger retailers.

Revenue reporting
Ecommerce tracking that shows orders and revenue from organic search, by category where the data allows.

How long does ecommerce SEO take to show results?
SEO is a long-term channel and it depends on your competition and starting point. Some stores see improvements within three to six months, but that is not a promise. We will tell you what is realistic for your market after the audit.
Do you write product descriptions?
Yes. We write unique descriptions for priority products and categories, working from your product knowledge. For large catalogues we focus on the pages with the most commercial value first, rather than rewriting everything at once.
Can you tailor the work to our budget?
Yes. Your budget decides how much we can do at once, from a full programme to specific fixes. We prioritise the categories and products most likely to pay back and are straight with you about what the budget can achieve.
Is ecommerce SEO suitable for smaller stores?
It can be, if the store has products people search for and you can commit to SEO over months rather than weeks. For some smaller stores, Google Shopping or tighter conversion work is the better first step, and we will say so.
What happens to rankings when products go out of stock?
It depends whether the product is coming back. Temporarily unavailable products usually stay live with clear stock messaging. Discontinued ones are redirected to the closest alternative or category, so you keep the value those pages have built.
